THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has allotted Rs 20 lakh to Raj Bhavan to prepare a feast on Republic Day. The amount was sanctioned by relaxing the budgetary constraints. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan is organising a feast at Raj Bhavan on the 26th. It is reported that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family will attend the banquet. The banquet is organized under the name 'At Home'. Earlier, Raj Bhavan had written to the government to allocate funds for the programme. The Finance Department issued an order sanctioning the additional funds with the approval of the Chief Minister.

20 lakhs has been allocated for the banquet when the finance minister himself reiterated that the state is in dire financial straits. Chief Minister had not attended the party at Raj Bhavan on Christmas due to the government-governor war
