THRISSUR: Two women have been arrested for stealing the necklace of a patient in a medical college. The accused allegedly stole two sovereign gold necklaces belonging to a native of Painkulam. The arrested have been identified as Sivakami and Roja, natives of Tamil Nadu.

The said Painkulam native's necklace was stolen when she was standing to pay the bill for scanning in the A block of the Medical College Hospital. The accused who tried to escape after stealing the necklace were later caught by the medical college police. There are many cases in the name of the accused in various districts of Kerala. They say many names while being arrested by the police. The accused were arrested by a police team led by Inspector Shaju. The team included SIs Shantharam KR, Shivadas KK, Balasubramanian and civil police officers Vijayakumar and Neethu.
