AYODHYA: According to reports, around five lakh devotees visited Ayodhya the day after the Prana Pratishtha ceremony. This situation is likely to continue in the coming days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reportedly asked VIPs including his cabinet ministers not to visit Ayodhya in February due to the rush of devotees.
It is learned that the Prime Minister has put forward such a proposal after devotees flocked to the Ram temple in large numbers in the days after the Prana Pratishtha ceremony. Central sources said that the ministers will visit the Ram temple for darshan in the month of March. Sources added that the Prime Minister asked for postponement of the visit to the temple to avoid inconveniencing devotees due to the protocols imposed during the visits of VIPs.
In today's Union Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister also asked the ministers about the reactions from the public after the inauguration of the much-awaited Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Ever since the temple was opened to the public on Tuesday morning, there has been a huge rush.
Devotees started queuing up from 3 am on Tuesday morning. The darshan had to be suspended on Tuesday due to the rush of devotees. In view of the huge crowd of devotees, the authorities had imposed a ban on all vehicles entering Ayodhya.
