Bengali, Mughal, Chola, Japanese, Ajanta, Buddhist and Jain art styles are interwoven in the design of the constitution, handwritten in exquisite calligraphy. India became a republic on January 26, 1950, when the constitution that adopted the noble principles of the constitutions of various countries took effect.
