Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, who acquired national fame after his idol got selected to be placed in the main shrine of Ram Temple is somehow surprised for some odd reasons. Arun has caught several headlines over these days and was seen mostly elated for the recognition that came his way for the hard work he did in chiselling out the idol which took almost six months.

However, during the Prana Pratishtha ceremony, Arun who was inside the temple noticed one surprising fact which caught his eyes. The Ram idol looked not the one he sculpted, as the face contour was changed which brought divinity to the face. Arun slightly murmured this surprising fact to others inside the temple and they were equally astonished.

“I felt it was not my work. The Ram Lalla looked entirely different during the ornamentation ceremony. Ram Lalla looked more beautiful and I think there is some divine happening in this”, Arun commented.

Arun Yogiraj on the day of Prana Pratishtha was elated as he termed himself the luckiest man alive on earth. Arun has immaculately followed the Shilpa Shastra while carving out the idol. He had to dedicate months of research on how Lord Ram looked at five years of age.

Arun Yogiraj spent seven months detached from his children and family to work on the sculpture. “ I had a discipline and spent a lot of time with the stone” he mentioned.
