KOCHI: A complaint has been filed against Kerala High Court staff members for enacting a play demeaning Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Republic Day celebrations. The legal cell and Bharathiya Abhibhashaka Parishad filed a complaint in this regard. Complaints were made to the Prime Minister, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice of the High Court and the Ministry of Law.
As the incident became controversial, the employees were suspended. The action was taken against Assistant Registrar TA Sudheesh and Court Keeper PM Sudheesh. The dialogue of the play was written by TA Sudheesh. Both were suspended by the Chief Justice of the High Court.
The Vigilance Registrar will investigate the incident. The play 'One Nation, One Vision, One India' was staged as part of the programs organized in the High Court on the occasion of Republic Day. The nine-minute drama was staged by the High Court staff, and clerks of the Advocate General's Office.
According to the complaint, the drama made unscrupulous remarks at PM Modi and also insulted the nation. The complaint also alleged that the Prime Minister's dialect, and central schemes such as ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ were insulted in the play.
