PATNA: As the political drama continues to unfold in Bihar, Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar may rejoin the BJP-led NDA front today. According to reports, an announcement in this regard will be made today. It is indicated that BJP and JDU have reached an agreement on the division of seats for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. RJD members in the cabinet, including Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, may be expelled today.

Sources said that Nitish will meet the Governor today and stake the claim to form the government. After that, he will take oath as Chief Minister again today or tomorrow. This is the ninth time that Nitish is going to take oath as Chief Minister of Bihar. On Saturday night, JDU leaders and MLAs held a meeting at Nitish Kumar's official residence in Patna. Meanwhile, RJD leaders held a meeting and tasked party president Lalu Prasad Yadav to take a decision on the matter. Reports are claiming that RJD will ask Nitish to prove his majority if he joins the NDA.

Meanwhile, reports are claiming that the Congress is trying to bring the Hindustani Awam Morcha, a constituent party of the NDA, into the camp of the 'INDIA' front. It is reported that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called former Bihar Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha secular party leader Jitan Ram Manjhi on the phone. Meanwhile, the BJP is also making manoeuvres to prevent Manchi from leaving the front. BJP state president Samrat Choudhary met Manchi at his home yesterday. The party has four MLAs.

Support of 127 MLAs

The NDA is confident that it has secured the support of 127 MLAs, including 45 MLAs from Nitish Kumar's JDU, 78 from the BJP and four from the Hindustani Awam Morcha Secular Party. The support of 122 MLAs is required to form the government.
