CHENNAI: A pleasure trip ended in a tragedy. Six youths lost their lives in a car-lorry collision at Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu Sunday early morning at 3.45 am. Those who met with the accident were returning from Kuttalam waterfalls. There were six youths in the car.
The six youths who were friends hired a car and reached Kuttalam waterfalls. The accident happened while they were returning from there. The lorry carrying cement collided with the car. The car was completely destroyed in the accident. A JCB was brought and after much effort, the car which was under the lorry and the bodies were taken out.
The dead have been identified as Karthik, Vel, Manoj, Subramanian, Manoharan and Mudiraj, natives of Tenkasi Chinthamani. The youths were aged between 17-28. The bodies are kept at the Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital.
