PALAKKAD: A man killed his wife by hitting her on the head with a log. The dead is Veshukutty (65), a native of Chendakkad in Kottayi. Police said that her husband identified as Velayudhan killed her following a family dispute. The shocking incident happened last night.

Veshukutty injured in the attack died on the spot itself. The accused Velayudhan has been taken into custody by the Kottayi police and is being interrogated. DySP and others have reached the spot and inspected the spot. After post-mortem, the body will be handed over to her relatives.
