THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala on Sunday said that CPM leader G Sudhakaran's words reflect the general situation of Kerala now. "Sudhakaran's public statement is proof how much decayed this government is. It is pathetic that a communist leader has to open up about Kerala being covered in corruption and inefficiency", Ramesh Chennithala said.
"The corruptions of the second Pinarayi government overshadows the corruptions of the first Pinarayi government. Now they are stealing not only government money, but from countless private institutions and individuals. There is no accounting for this. Crores of rupees are collected through sponsorship in all the programs held under the government's label. Events are organized by private event management companies. In this way crores reach the hands of many people," he added.
"The figure of how many crores were collected for the tours led by the Chief Minister has not yet been released. Under the cover of this, the money collection of the programs going on now is amazing. If there is nothing to hide in these matters, are they ready for a high-level investigation," he asked.
