THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The opposition criticized in the house that only the renovation in Cliff House is going on in Kerala. The criticism came during the ongoing debate on the adjournment motion in the assembly in connection with the state's financial crisis.

The opposition pointed out that Rs 7 lakh was spent for the curtains at the official residence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. K K Rema criticized that whether the curtain was gold-plated. The opposition said the government is looting the people.


Opposition leader V D Satheesan said there is no money to pay even after the grass is cut in the panchayat. Bankrupting this government. The employees of the GST department are sitting idle. The government is responsible for all this. Kerala has become a paradise of tax evaders. Satheesan asked how much the center has to give really.


P K Kunhalikutty criticized saying there is excessive expenditure in the state. There is no money for anything. Roji M John also said that the state is reeling under acute financial crunch. Roji said the left government is responsible for the severe crisis.

Meantime, CPM leader and MLA K Babu asked whether the cattle shed was being held at Cliff House for the first time. K Babu asked whether there were no swimming pools when there were Congress chief ministers. Finance Minister K N Balagopal said the argument that there is no money for anything is not true.
