VADAKARA: BJP state president K Surendran said that some people are coming forward against the death penalty awarded to the religious terrorists in the Ranjith murder case. He said that these are the people who helped the terrorists and that only Kerala has a suitable political environment for them to grow. He was speaking at a press conference held in Vadakara in connection with the Kerala Padayatra.
"Nowadays, only Kerala has a suitable political environment for religious terrorists to grow. The protest raised in Kerala against the Prana Pratishtha held in Ayodhya is an example of this. After the Popular Front was banned, the cadres joined the CPM and the League. We can see a soft approach towards terrorist forces only in Kerala," Surendran said.
Surendran said that the state government cannot go ahead by claiming that the Centre is neglecting Kerala.
"The government is misleading the legislature without providing accurate figures. The state government does not say how much central funds Kerala has received. The state is not talking about the revenue deficit grant sanctioned by the Centre or the GST compensation. The government is telling lies in the assembly. Kerala is the state which received the most benefits from the Centre. The money given to Kerala by the Modi government is five times more than the money given by the UPA government. Despite knowing the truth about the central fund issue, the opposition is giving tacit consent to the ruling party," Surendran added.
