THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan faces allegations of accepting a Rs 150 crore bribe from corporate giants in Andhra and Karnataka to obstruct K-Rail, as claimed by PV Anwar during the Assembly's policy announcement debate. Satheesan refutes the accusation urging a more serious approach to such claims.

Anwar alleges that the introduction of K-Rail in Kerala would enhance the travel system attracting more IT companies. This, he argues, poses a threat to real estate investors in Karnataka and Andhra. Anwar claims a fish cart transported the bribe money to Chetua in Thrissur, handed over to Satheesan's men in an ambulance and later taken to Bengaluru. He also asserts that Satheesan frequently visits Bengaluru.

Satheesan rejects the Speaker's suggestion to remove insulting passages from church records, emphasizing the lack of evidence or logic in Anwar's claims. The opposition's concrete evidence led them to approach the court. Satheesan expresses sympathy for those allowing baseless allegations.
