NEW DELHI: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw spoke about the Kerala government's dream project K Rail after the budget. When the media persons asked about K-rail, the Union minister asked a counter question of wasn't the project dropped.
Ashwini Vaishnav said, "Nobody mentioned anything about the project, no interest was seen from the state government. It is better to ask the state government itself."
At the same time, the Railways Minister stated that there is no discrimination against Kerala and the Modi government is giving seven times more allocation than the UPA government gave to the state. 2744 crores have been given to Kerala for railway development.
The minister was explaining to the media about the funds allocated to the states in connection with railway development after the interim budget. There is no consideration or political discrimination towards Kerala in railway development.
35 amrit stations and 92 flyovers have been newly sanctioned in Kerala. The minister also informed that the project document for the straightening of curves has been handed over to the state government.
