THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have arrested three men who stole liquor from a beverage outlet after breaking the lock of the outlet. The arrested persons have been identified as Sajeer, Vishnu and Babu. The incident took place at the beverage outlet near the Pandiyampara forest area in Thiruvananthapuram. This outlet comes under the Vamanapuram Excise Department. The arrested persons are accused in another theft case and had recently come out of jail, the police said.
Police said that the accused stole expensive liquor from the outlet. They had also stolen the hard disk of the CCTV camera installed in the outlet. When the manager arrived in the morning to open the outlet, he found the lock of the shutter broken. The employees said that the mobile phone used in the outlet was also stolen.
Liquor bottles were found scattered on the floor. It is reported that the accused had spilt liquor on the ground. The accused had also broken all the cables of the equipment, including the computer, in the outlet. The case was investigated by the Palode police. The police found the accused after checking various details, including fingerprints.
