KOCHI: The government has informed the High Court that there is no license for the park in Kakkadampoyil in Kozhikode, owned by PV Anvar MLA. According to the government, he had applied for a license but it wasn't granted due to an error in the application.
The government has also informed that the necessary supporting documents have not been produced. The court asked how the park could operate without a licence and instructed the government to give a reply on the matter tomorrow. The petitioner demands that the park be closed. The petition will be considered again tomorrow.
The petitioner argued that he committed a serious violation of the law as a representative of the people. When the petition was heard earlier, the High Court had directed the government to inform within three days whether PV Anvar's park in Kakkadampoyil has a license. The petitioner had submitted an RTI document to the court stating that there was no panchayat license to open the children's park. According to the petition, the park which was closed by the collector was opened by the government.
