POTHENCODE: A complaint has been raised against a police officer for lewd talk with a student on the phone at night. The incident occurred around 9 pm on Monday during the science festival duty at the Bio 360 Life Science Park in Thonnakkal. ASI KP Naseem, who was on duty there, allegedly had a lewd talk with a college student who was a volunteer at the festival.

He had exchanged numbers with the girls on duty and asked them to call him if they had any problems. Later that night, he called the complainant girl continuously. The girl hanged the call when he started harassing her by making a video call. As the call continued, the student and other volunteers came to the ASI yesterday to enquire about the matter. He then threatened the girl and fled the place realizing he'd land in trouble.

KP Naseem faced similar problem when he was on duty at Pangode station. He was in Kollam and was transferred to Thiruvananthapuram as part of the punishment process. After getting drunk, he allegedly makes video calls to complainant women at night.

The girl filed a complaint with the science fest authorities. The special branch has investigated the incident and submitted a report.
