JAIPUR: A friend has been arrested in the case of killing a 15-year-old boy in anger over losing a cricket match. The incident took place in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. Prakash Sahu (15), a resident of Textile Mills Colony, was killed. Mukesh Meena (20), a resident of the same colony, was arrested.

Mukesh, a graduate student and Prakash, a class 10 student, were friends. They used to play cricket every day in the ground of the colony. The incident took place after Mukesh's team lost to Prakash's team in a match on Tuesday, the day of the incident.

Police say that while Prakash and his team were celebrating after winning the match, Mukesh hit Prakash on the head from behind with a bat in his hand. Prakash's body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem.

Circle Inspector Mangi Yadav informed that the reason for the murder was that Mukesh was angered by the jubilation of Prakash and his team when he was angry at losing the match. Prakash was hit and collapsed immediately. He was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.

A case has been registered against accused Mukesh on charges of murder. Meanwhile, when the relatives hid the accused inside the house, the locals set his bike on fire.
