LUCKNOW: A survey results showed that BJP will increase seats in the Lok Sabha elections. India Today's Mood of the Nation survey said that the BJP will win 70 seats in Uttar Pradesh.


In the elections held in 2019, the BJP won 62 seats and its ally Apna Dal (S) won two. According to the survey, the NDA will secure 52 percent of the total votes in Uttar Pradesh and will win 72 seats with the support of Anupriya Patel's Apna Dal (S).


The survey was conducted in all the sLok Sabha constituencies in the state. The Mood of the Nations February 2024 edition is based on a survey of 35,801 people. The survey was conducted between December 15, 2023 and January 28, 2024. The report said the developments of the last few days could not be taken into account.


The survey also predicted that INDIA will be limited to less than ten seats. Samajwadi Party will get seven seats and Congress will get only one. Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party won 15 of the total 80 seats in the 2019 general elections. He garnered 39 percent of the votes. However, it is predicted to be limited to 30 this time.


The survey also said that Mayawati's Bahujan Samajwadi Party may reach zero. Prime Minister is targeting 370 seats for the BJP and 400 seats for NDA in the elections. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA won 351 seats. The BJP alone got 303 seats.
