PATHANAMTHITTA: There is the fragrance of life in these snack packets, the light of care for a visually impaired father and tears and dreams. Reshma and Rahul are the children of Ramu and Bindu of Rahul Bhavan, Adoor, Paranthal.

After leaving school, both of them will take the first bus home. After that, they will reach the Adoor KSRTC bus stand with a bag filled with snack packets. When their sick parents were unable to work, they took on the burden of the family.

Reshma is a 10th class student at Pongaladi Sankaravilasam AVHS and Rahul is studying in Plus One at Boys HSS.

It will be eight o'clock in the evening when they return after selling all the home-made snacks. Study time is after this. The family started suffering when Ramu, who was a labourer, lost his eyesight. Ramu, who had lost the vision in his left eye earlier due to an infection, started losing sight of his right eye five years ago. He was unable to go to work because of this. Ramu also has hearing loss in his right ear. His wife Bindu is asthmatic and a thyroid patient. He had started a small shop on MC Road but could not continue it as he had to repeatedly go to the hospital for treatment. It was after this that Ramu and Rahul started selling snacks. As Ramu's eyesight became more problematic, Reshma also started selling snacks after leaving her father at home. Cows, chickens and rabbits are reared. Reshma wants to become a nurse. We desire to live without reaching out to anyone. The treatment of our father and mother was done because of the mercy of many people. You can't always depend on others
