THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Left Front has confirmed its seat allocation for the upcoming elections without any disputes. CPM will contest in 15 seats, CPI in four seats and the Kerala Congress-M in one seat.

During a recent Left Front meeting, it was decided to accommodate the current political situation with the RJD expressing its desire for a seat but accepting the Front's stance.

The leaders commended Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for spearheading a recent strike against the central government in Delhi. The strike gained political traction, especially with the participation of Arvind Kejriwal and DMK ministers adding significance to the protest against the BJP.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan spoke on both the strike and the seat division during the meeting, emphasizing continuity with the parties' previous election strategies. The RJD proposed potential changes to the current seat consensus for future elections which the Chief Minister pledged to consider.

In response to monthly allegations against the Chief Minister's daughter, the CPM state secretariat convened to address the issue politically and legally. Recognizing the potential for the opposition to weaponize the controversy during the election campaign, strategies such as publishing pamphlets and conducting educational sessions for party leaders are being implemented.

Meanwhile, the CPI State Council seeks consultation within the Left Front on policy matters expressing dissatisfaction with certain budgetary announcements, particularly regarding foreign universities. State Secretary Binoy Vishwam has committed to addressing these concerns with the council convening to discuss further action.
