PATHANAMTHITTA: Brother-in-law was arrested after middle-aged man was found murdered inside the house. Pathanamthitta Angamoozhy Kochandi Karaikal native Aji (50) was found dead inside the house. Moozhiyar police arrested his brother-in-law Mahesh (42) in connection with the case on Tuesday morning.

The police found hack marks on Aji's body, leading to the conclusion that the incident was a murder. After getting the hint of murder, the police expanded the investigation in that direction.

Aji's body was discovered on Monday afternoon when neighbours opened the house after smelling a foul odour. The statement of the neighbours that they had seen Mahesh and Aji drinking together last Friday was also crucial.

Neighbours told the police that the two got into a verbal argument after drinking alcohol. The police concluded that Aji was hacked to death by Mahesh. Police is questioning him for further information about what happened.
