KOCHI: Central government figures indicate that the level of inflation in Kerala is low compared to other states in India. After Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, Kerala is the state with the lowest inflation rate. In Kerala, the consumer price index rose by only 4.4 per cent in January. At the national level, the inflation index was 5.1 per cent in January. The inflation rate in Delhi was 2.56 per cent and in Madhya Pradesh 3.93 per cent.
Meanwhile, in ten states like Odisha, Telangana and Haryana, the inflation rate is higher than the national average.
