Renowned television serial actor Nitish Bharadwaj has lodged a complaint against his wife with the police. The actor, who is known for his role as Lord Krishna in the superhit television serial 'Mahabharat', reached the Bhopal Commissioner's office in person and filed a complaint against his wife Smita Gate.

In his complaint, Nitish accused his wife of mentally torturing him. He also alleged that Smitha, who lives separately, was not allowing him to see his children. In 2018, the two had submitted an application for divorce in the family court. As the case is going on, the two children live with Smita. However, Nitish is alleging that Smita was not allowing him to see or talk to his children. The actor also complained about the difficulty caused by Smita's action of changing his children's schools from time to time.

Nitish and Smita got married twelve years ago. Smita is the Additional Chief Secretary at the Human Rights Commission office in Bhopal. Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra has responded that a detailed investigation will be conducted into Nitish's complaint.

Nitish, who had a lot of fans for his performance in 'Mahabharat', also acted as Gandharvan in the 1991 Malayalam film 'Njan Gandharvan'.
