KOZHIKODE: In a shocking incident, a local leader of CPM was hacked to death during a temple festival in Koyilandy. Kozhikode Town Central local committee secretary PV Sathyanathan (62) was hacked to death during the Peruvattur Cheriyappuram temple festival in Koyilandy.

Although Sathyanathan was rushed to the Koyilandy Taluk Hospital, his life could not be saved. It is reported that the body has more than four cuts with an axe. It is reported that police have taken one person into custody in the incident.
