PATHANAMTHITTA: More details regarding a man's suicide bid by climbing a 110 KV transmission tower in Adoor. The mission of the fire froce, which had been trying to bring down the man since last night, ended this morning. The said incident happened around 9:30 pm. Ratheesh, a native of Kottamukal, climbed the tower with a bottle of petrol and threatened to commit suicide. Due to the act of the young man, there was a power outage in the area for three hours.

He insisted that he will come down only if he the girl he loves comes to the spot. Although the police brought Ratheesh, there was no result. Finally, his girlfriend came and was able to bring him down after some insistence. The mission ended around 1 am. The Adoor police have registered a case against Ratheesh on non-bailable charges of keeping locals in the dark and destroying public property.
