THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central meteorological department has warned that the state will experience high temperature today also. They said today and tomorrow, the maximum temperature in Kollam and Kottayam will rise to 38°C, in Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha and Ernakulam, the maximum temperature will rise to 37°C and in Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Kannur, the maximum temperature will be 36°C.


Due to high temperature and humid air, these districts, except the hilly areas, are likely to experience high heat and unsettled conditions today and tomorrow. The state disaster management authority informed that people should take precautions and be on alert. There is no rain warning for the next five days till March 2.


The central meteorological department has informed that there will be no disruption to fishing in Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts today. A warning has been issued that gusts of 45 to 55 km per hour and at times up to 65 km per hour are possible along the Kanyakumari coast along the Gulf of Mannar and south Tamil Nadu coast.
