NEW DELHI: The final cabinet meeting of the second Modi government convened with a crucial agenda to enact plans for the initial 100 days if re-elected for a third term. The meeting, spanning a full day focused on brainstorming sessions to deliberate over the envisioned document for a developed India by 2047 and the forthcoming five-year action strategy.
Amidst mounting speculations hinting at imminent Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi spearheaded discussions centered around the comprehensive vision document outlining a roadmap towards eradicating total poverty, ensuring full employment for the youth, and implementing 100% welfare schemes.
Key highlights from the meeting include presentations by various departmental secretaries, emphasizing the imperative of diligent preparation for the nation's future regardless of the electoral phase.
The meticulously crafted vision document, meticulously crafted over two years, underscores the collective effort of all ministries towards achieving holistic development across sectors. Notably, the blueprint's formulation involved extensive consultations with state governments, academic experts, industry associations, civil society and scientific institutions.
With over 2700 seminars and workshops conducted, and insights gathered from over 20 lakh women and youth, the document encapsulates objectives such as fostering economic growth, ensuring sustainable development, simplifying life and business processes, advancing infrastructure and bolstering social welfare.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to embark on a visit to Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal and Bihar on the 4th, 5th and 6th of the month. During his visit to Telangana, he will inaugurate or lay the foundation stone for development projects amounting to Rs 64,800 crore.
