It is carved in the constitution of movie actors to disappear from the glittering world of cinema on one fine morning. Some will be tracked down years later while others lead reclusive lives without the jangle of media and gossip. Nevertheless, it brings joy and surprise in equal measure for movie lovers when they learn about the present-day lives of actors who have evaded from the cine world years ago. One such find is Barkha Madan, who once competed with Aishwarya Rai for the Miss World title, acted in movies, earned fame and then quietly took steps into the divine world where she found enlightenment.
Barkha Madan has acted in the film 'Khiladeon Ka Khiladi' with Akshay Kumar and several leading TV serials. In 2002, the actress, intrigued by the dogma of Dalai Lama, approached Rinpoche to begin her divine life at the monastery in Kathmandu. A native of Punjab, Barkha was a finalist in Miss India 1994 and has also won the title of Miss Tourism India.
Along with Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen and Priya Gill, she participated in the Feminine Miss India pageant. Barkha's first film is 'Khiladeon Ka Khiladi'. Barkha also played an important role in the 2003 film 'Bhoot'. The actor retired from acting in 2012 and became a monk. She has since then changed her name to Wen.
