THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The people of Kerala are running out of options to survive the torrid heat that has been continuing in the state for the past month. According to weather experts, this year will witness more heat than the previous summer season. With many water bodies slowing plummeting in the summer, the shortage of drinking water is expected to rise.

Kannur recorded the hottest temperature in the state this time at 38.4 degrees Celsius. This is expected to touch 40 degrees Celsius when March comes to an end. In March 2022, up to 41 degrees of heat was recorded and in 2023, this was 40 degrees. Experts say that the temperature will rise to 40 degrees this time.
