NEW DELHI: BDJS president Thushar Vellappally has denied reports that he has lodged a complaint with the BJP national leadership regarding PC George's allegation that he worked to oust him from the Pathanamthitta constituency. "BDJS does not want action against George. PC will take action because of his own tongue. I am not ready to respond according to George's character. Why the person who said that he would faint if he gets a seat is creating so much trouble when he didn't get a seat?" Thushar Vellappally asked.
"There is no need to drag SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan and myself over the issue of George not getting a seat. PC is someone who makes unnecessary statements on any front. Such statements will increase Anil Antony's votes. Have any churches or community organizations responded that George did not get a seat? George is someone who didn't even get the votes that Nota got. George was taken to the BJP, but not to the BDJS. References do not affect NDA. Tushar responded that George has insulted not only the Ezhava community but all religious communities.
NDA candidates are to be announced for eight seats in Kerala. Thushar reached Delhi to discuss with BJP National President JP Nadda and others to finalize the constituencies. BDJS will contest in four seats. An agreement was reached on Kottayam, Idukki and Mavelikkara. It is suggested that Thushar Vellappally will contest in Kottayam. It is known that the fourth seat will be Chalakudy or Ernakulam.
