BENGALURU: Police have arrested a man who threatened to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The arrested person has been identified as Mohammed Rasool Kaddare. Police said that the accused was working as a labourer in Hyderabad.
The police have confirmed that the accused has been arrested. However, Superintendent of Police G Sangeeta said that it is not possible to share more information about the accused now as it might affect the investigation.
The accused had posted a video on social media in which he threatened to kill PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath if the Congress came to power. He was also seen holding a sword in his hand in the video.
The accused has been booked under sections 505(1)(b), 25(1)(b) of the Indian Penal Code and Arms Act at Yadgiri's Surpur police station.
