NEW DELHI: Social media platforms owned by Meta, namely Facebook, Instagram and Threads are down due to technical issues. Users faced login issues across the globe while some others said that they were encountering "failure to load" error pages on both Instagram and Facebook.

After encountering glitches, many users initially thought their account was hacked. It was identified as a technical issue after several uninstalls and reinstalls did not resolve the issue.
