THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr Rama from Kasaragod Govt college is facing suspension and cessation of pension benefits, just before her retirement on March 31st. Dr Rama's efforts to maintain discipline in the college and prevent the interference of outside leaders have sparked opposition from the SFI.

Upon a complaint filed by the SFI, Dr Rama was transferred from the position of Principal to Manjeswaram Government College. As part of the disciplinary proceedings, an investigation by the Deputy Director of College Education was initiated, despite her impending retirement. Pension benefits Prof Ciza Thomas were also suspended earlier.

During her tenure as Principal, Dr Rama pointed out Emmanuel, a former SFI leader as a factor contributing to immoral activities among students. Following Rama's transfer, Emmanuel, who had completed his B.Com, was controversially admitted to the MA (English) course. Dr Gopinath Ravindran, who was expelled from Kannur University, intervened and granted special permission for Emmanuel's admission.
