MUMBAI: Fly91 airline company has been approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The Chairman of Fly91 is Manoj Chacko, a Malayali. Manoj Chacko was previously a senior executive at Kingfisher Airlines. In April last year, Just Udo Aviation Pvt Ltd. got the approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. With that, the airline company became a brand name of Fly91.

On March 2nd, Fly91's first takeoff was from Manohar International Airport in Goa to Bengaluru. According to the Central Government's Udan plan, Fly91 services will be targeted at small towns. In the first phase, the services will be in the states of Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. In the next phase, the service is planned to be extended to Kerala as well.
