THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Motor vehicle department officials do not know how to implement Minister KB Ganeshkumar's proposal that it is enough to conduct driving test of 50 people in one center from today. The driving school employees' organizations have decided to boycott the driving test if the minister's directive is implemented. The minister's directive came in a meeting of the officials of the motor vehicle department.
Earlier, an order was issued to conduct a new type of driving test from May 1. Only 30 candidates are required to take the exam in the new track. The new odd proposal has happened when there is no decision on who will bear the burden of building the track and the practical difficulties of reducing the Test to 30. In the first official meeting called, the RTOs were instructed that it is enough to conduct the test of 50 people from today. Usually 100 to 180 tests are done a day. Questions such as what will be the criteria for narrowing it down to 50 and how the new date will be given to the opt-outs are not fully answered.
