THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leader Bindu Krishna reacted to Padmaja Venugopal, KPCC political affairs committee member and daughter of K Karunakaran, joining the BJP. Talking to the media, she said Padmaja is joining BJP fearing the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
‘The ED had questioned Padmaja's husband. Padmaja joining the BJP is unfortunate. When the BJP at the Centre uses a mechanism like the ED to silence political opponents, those fearless will stay and others will leave. It is not right to go like this,' said Bindu Krishna.
Meantime, Padmaja Venugopal has confirmed the news of joining the BJP. Padmaja said that it was the Congress that made her join BJP and is leaving the party as she is fed up.
'I am not cheating. These are the pains of my mind. They reached me here. I have no complaints against anyone even while going now. No matter what anyone says, I have no complaints and no worries. The congress drove me to BJP. Joining BJP without any conditions. Just want to work peacefully,' said Padmaja Venugopal.
She will be joining the BJP at 5 pm today in New Delhi.
