KATTAPPANA: Human sacrifice suspected at Kattappana in Idukki. Two people including a new born baby was killed and buried. The shocking information of human sacrifice was obtained when the suspects arrested in a theft case were interrogated.

Vishnu Vijayan (27) of Kanchiar Kakkatukada Nellanikal and Nithish (31) alias Rajesh of Puthenpuraikal were arrested. Reports said that after killing the two, the bodies were buried on the floor of the house. A search found evidences of witchcraft etc.

Vishnu's father Vijayan and his newborn niece were killed and buried. The dead bodies were buried on the floor of Vishnu's old house at Kattapana Sagara Junction. The baby was born to Nithish and Vishnu's sister. Took the baby from its mother saying to hand it over to Gandharva. Nithish himself led the witchcraft.

The accused were caught while stealing from a workshop in the city. The workshop owner's son sees them and catches them while committing a midnight theft. The information about the human sacrifice was obtained while questioning them. Following this, the police were deployed in the house of the accused. The house will be examined soon.

On October 11 in 2022, the human sacrifice in Elanthur was exposed. The accused in the case are Perumbavoor native Muhammad Shafi (53), Bhagaval Singh (71), a traditional marma therapist and his wife Laila (67). They are now in jail. They killed two women Padma and Roslin.
