SEETHATHODE: A housewife died after a large rock fell on top of her house during the summer rains. Padmakumari (52), wife of Srinivasan of Seethathode gram panchayat fifth ward, died. Padmakumari's mother Ponnamma was slightly injured. The accident happened at 6:15 pm today. At the time of the accident, Padmakumari's children Vaishna and Vani, Vaishna's husband Abhijit and their six- and eight-month-old children were at home. They all escaped miraculously.

There is a two-story high mud mound at the rear of the house where the accident occurred. On the mud mound adjacent to the kitchen area, there was a large rock. Due to the rain and wind, the rubber tree that was near the rock got uprooted. Along with this, the rock also fell into the kitchen area of ​​the house. The stone-built house was completely destroyed. The seriously injured Padmakumari was pulled out by the locals and rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.
