TEL AVIV: Five people died tragically in an egregious failure that happened during the aerial delivery of food and other essentials in Gaza. The accident took place after one of the boxes connected with a parachute failed to open up which resulted in the box landing on the heads of people who were waiting in hope of the food delivery. It is not clear which country was supplying the food items when the accident occurred. Countries including America, Jordan, Egypt, France, Netherlands and Belgium are distributing food items in Gaza. The accident happened around 9:30 pm local time on Friday.

The European Commission has announced that the corridor to deliver essential goods to Gaza by sea will be operational by Sunday. With Israel delaying aid deliveries by road, countries have been sending in food by air means. However, the method proved to be of little success which has now forced the authorities to establish a temporary port in Gaza. Food will also be delivered by ship but American soldiers will never set foot on Gaza.

The United Nations had previously warned that the people of Gaza would starve to death if the current situation continues. The temporary port which will be made with assistance from the US will take weeks to complete.
