THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Taking a dig at Congress, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday asked how one can believe that the Congressmen of today will remain in Congress tomorrow as well. The Chief Minister lashed out at the grand old party following Padmaja Venugopal's entry into the BJP.

"Even if a Congress candidate wins an election, is there any guarantee that the person will not switch to the BJP after the election? It was K Sudhakaran who once said that he would join the BJP. Children of two prominent Congress leaders went to the BJP. Who knows how many more Congressmen will leave the party and join the BJP? How many people will be bargaining? How can one believe that the Congressmen of today will remain in Congress tomorrow? The LDF should be in Parliament to protect democracy," Pinarayi said.

"Several important Congress leaders are going to BJP. If the governance of a state is given to the Congress, the Congress will give it to the BJP. Is there any other party which is so shameless as the Congress?" he asked.
