KOVALAM: Complaints of rampant anti-social elements in Pachallur-Pozhikkara and Edayar areas. Last day, a group of attackers jumped over the wall and caused damage in the private resorts of Pozhikkara area of Pachallur. The gang of attackers reached the resorts in Pozhikkara by swimming across from Poonthura side. The gang broke into two resorts in the area and smashed wooden seats, couches and tables near the swimming pool. The footage of some of the attackers has been caught on the CCTV camera.

It is indicated that the gang members are involved in various cases in Poonthura. There are complaints that drug mafia gangs are widespread in the Thiruvallam - Edayar Kunnumanal area as well. Locals say that the local residents cannot even go out at night. The decorative items and lights installed in the houses here were also destroyed. There are also complaints of stealing tender coconut from trees. The owners of the resort in Pozhikkara and residents of the Idayar area filed a complaint with the police authorities demanding an investigation into the incident.
