NEW DELHI: Following the Supreme Court's strict instructions, SBI handed over the electoral bond data to the Election Commission at 05.30 pm yesterday.

On Monday, the Supreme Court rejected the bank's demand for time till June 30. The bank was warned that contempt of court action would be taken if it failed to meet the deadline.

Names of bond purchasers, date, value of bonds, details of political parties who received donations, details of each bond cashed by the parties and the date on which they were converted were given to the Election Commission. The Supreme Court has also directed that this information be published on the Election Commission website before 5 pm on Friday.
