NEW DELHI: The dates for the 18th Lok Sabha elections have been announced. Voting will be held in seven phases. In the second phase of this, voting is going on in Kerala. Voting in Kerala will commence on April 26. The results will be announced on June 4.
Elections in Kerala are held in a single phase. Election Commission announced the dates after a press conference held at Vigyan Bhawan. Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar along with newly appointed Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu attended the press conference. By-elections are to be held in 26 states. This will coincide with the parliamentary elections. The elections will be held in seven phases. The first phase is on April 19. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
First phase: April 19
Second phase: April 26
Third phase: May 7
Fourth phase: May 13
Fifth phase: May 20
Sixth Phase: May 25
Seventh phase: June 1
