NEW DELHI: There are 1.8 crore maiden voters in the age group of 18 and 19 years. Out of this, 85.3 lakh are female voters. Youth voters between 20 and 29 years of age - 19.74 crore. There are a total of 47.1 crore women voters. They will be a decisive force in the general elections.

At the same time, the Election Commission has warned not to bring out the muscle-money powers in the elections. Strict action will be taken in case of fake votes. Central forces will also be deployed. The problem areas will be monitored using drones. Chartered flights will also be checked at airports to prevent cash flow. Alcohol, cash, gratuities and drugs should be avoided. Don't unleash hate speech and divisive tactics. No personal attacks. Don't spread fake news. Social media should be controlled.

Can vote at home

82 lakh people above the age of 85 have voting rights. They will be given the facility to vote at home. Out of 88.4 lakh people with disabilities who have a vote, those with 40% disability or more can vote at home. The polling booths will have wheelchair and vehicle facilities for the elderly.
