A four-month-old baby has entered India's list of billionaires. This achievement has been accomplished by the grandson of Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy. The child's name is Ekagrah Rohan Murthy. Narayana Murthy gifted his grandchild shares worth more than 250 crores.
Ekagrah reportedly owns 15,00,000 shares of Infosys. This is about 0.04 percent stake in the company. Narayana Murthy's shareholding also fell from 0.40 per cent to 0.36 per cent.
Ekagrah was born in November 2023 to Rohan Murthy, son of Narayana Murthy and Aparna Krishna. Both of them got married in December 2019. Ekagrah is the third grandchild of Narayana Murthy. Narayana Murthy's daughter Akshata Murthy and her husband British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have two daughters.
The baby was named Ekagrah after the character of Arjun in Mahabharata. The Sanskrit word 'Ekagrah' means unwavering focus and determination. Started in 1981 with an investment of Rs 10,000, Infosys later grew to become the second-largest tech company in India.
