JOHANNESBURG: Footage of a zookeeper's harrowing escape from the jaws of a giant crocodile is making rounds on social media. The incident occurred at Crocodile Creek, a theme park in Ballito, South Africa. The zookeeper was engaging with the crocodile in front of visitors when the reptile suddenly turned aggressive, despite appearing calm moments earlier. Despite being hit with a stick, the crocodile lunged at the employee, causing a slight injury to his leg.

He was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. The crocodile in question is a Nile crocodile, known for its size and strength, posing greater danger compared to common crocodiles. Videos capturing the employee's narrow escape are circulating online.
