SALEM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the aim of the 'INDIA' front is to destroy the power of Hinduism. Speaking at the BJP's election rally in Salem, Modi also alleged that the DMK and Congress are trying to destroy Sanatana Dharma.

"All powerful deities are in female form. The word 'shakti' has a great meaning. However, DMK and Congress are saying they will destroy Sanatana Dharma. Can this be allowed?" Modi said.

Once again lashing out at Rahul Gandhi over the 'Shakti' remark made at the concluding session of the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, Modi accused the Congress of insulting the sentiments of the Hindus.

"I am speaking after bowing down to Kottai Mariamman. Needless to say, how we worship Shakti. 'Om Shakti' is written on the gate of Kottai Mariamman. We worship Mary as a figure of strength. Kanchi Kamakshi and Madurai Meenakshi are the Shakti forms of the Goddess. A Shakti is worshiped at Kanyakumari. However, the 'INDIA' alliance repeatedly insults Hindu dharma whenever it gets the chance. They have not even touched any other religion. However, they insult Hinduism again and again. They are systematically creating an ideology against Hinduism," Modi said.
