THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Less than 30 percent of LD Clark's appointments are in the last grade rank lists, with less than a year and a half left in his tenure. LD Clark has 26.77% and Last Grade has 27.73%. LD Clark has a remaining period of 17 months for the clerk list and 16 months for the last grade list.
The rank holders say that the vacancies are not fully reported to the PSC, hindering recruitment.
These are the rank lists from the 2019 notification. Due to COVID-19, the lists were delayed by three years.
On July 18, 2022, the list of 16,227 people was released. Recommendations were sent to 4,501 people, with 11,726 awaiting appointment. Thiruvananthapuram has the highest number of appointments - 565, the only district to cross 500. No recruitment recommendations were sent in Wayanad. In Idukki, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kasaragod districts, the last recommendation was sent in January. About 550 of the recommendations are NJD. The rank list will be canceled on July 17, 2025. 8,255 people in the last list were appointed.
There were 23,518 people on the list as of August 1, 2022. 6,296 appointments were rejected, leaving over 17,000 people awaiting appointment. Thiruvananthapuram (733) has the highest number of appointments, followed by Kasaragod (199). Kannur, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts each crossed 500 appointments. Kottayam, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts have not sent recommendations since January. The list will expire on July 31, 2025. 12,069 people in the last list were appointed.
