NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized five phones and a laptop of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who was arrested in the excise policy case. It is reported that Kejriwal will be taken to the ED headquarters today. Security has been beefed up at the ED headquarters.
Meanwhile, dramatic scenes are taking place in front of Kejriwal's residence following his arrest. Aam Aadmi Party workers are protesting in front of his residence. Prohibitory orders have been issued in the area surrounding the Chief Minister's residence in view of the possibility of conflict.
A large police force lined up in front of the gate after the ED team arrived at Kejriwal's residence. The rumours of the arrest have been rife since then. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up to deal legally with the arrest of the chief minister.
The Aam Aadmi Party will file a petition against the arrest and demand an urgent hearing tonight itself. Meanwhile, the AAP has stated that Arvind Kejriwal will remain the Chief Minister of Delhi and will run the government from prison.
